Our School
Cedar Bridge School is a newly established Waldorf Early Childhood initiative based upon the principles of education indicated by Rudolf Steiner, Austrian philosopher, scientist and educator. We are a member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (www.waldorfearlychildhood.org), a worldwide organization which guides and supports our school. Cedar Bridge School is operated by The Bridge Educational Society, a non profit organization.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Cedar Bridge School Kinderhouse is located on an organic farm nestled between forest and meadow, with a creek flowing near the school. The Kinderhouse is architecturally designed to embrace the environment of the early childhood years. The interior of the building provides a homelike atmosphere and the warmth of natural wood.
FACULTY
The Kinderhouse lead teacher holds a university degree, has a BC College of Teachers Certificate, and Early Childhood Education Certificate and has received Waldorf training. The Assistant Teachers have Early Childhood Education Certification and have on-going mentoring and training in Waldorf methodology. The Parent and Child/Home School Facilitator holds an Anthroposophical Artistic Therapy Certificate and has ten years of Waldorf home school experience. |
