We are looking for a part-time after-school care lead for our multi-age Waldorf program! We require you to be at a minimum an ECEBC fully certified early childhood educator. The ability to provide a valid criminal record clearance letter and proof of current first aid before commencing employment is required. Previous experience or training within a Waldorf program is considered a strong asset.

The hours would be Thursday and Friday 2-6pm. There may be an option for more hours.We are located on an 18-acre campus within an 1100 acre farm just east of Vernon towards Lumby. Job Description 

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
  • Enters invoices/bills into Quickbooks
  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
  • Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Ongoing office duties:

  • Attend administrative support meetings when scheduled
  • Maintain a presence in the Cedar Bridge School office with regular office hours
  • Staff the front desk, phones, messages, problem-solving and provide parent reception and support when needed
  • Work collaboratively with all administrative staff and school faculty
  • Provide secretarial and other support to the administrative team and faculty as needed
  • Maintain and assure accuracy, availability, and security of Cedar Bridge School financial records

Accounts Receivable Payable Clerk Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Administrative Writing Skills
  • Organization
  • Data Entry Skills
  • General Math Skills
  • Knowledge of or Willingness to Gain Training in Quickbooks
  • Analytical
  • Thorough Attention to Detail
  • Strong Verbal Communication
  • Ability to notice a task that needs to be completed, and ‘jump in’ to support the general administrative realm of the school office
